Mercer University Pipes & Drums
New and experienced musicians enjoying the tradition of Celtic bagpipes and drums on Tuesdays offering free lessons to all

Join Mercer Pipes & Drums! Since 1998, we celebrate our musical heritage. Practice with us Tuesdays at Mercer University—beginners at 5:30 PM, regular at 6:30 PM. Contact us beforehand; schedules may vary. Parking on Adams St and near Tattnall Square Park.

Beginners meet from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
Learning the bagpipe will require an initial outlay of approximately $75-100 for a practice chanter and book which are yours to keep.
Learning to drum requires an initial outlay of about $60 for a drum pad and drumsticks which are yours to keep.
Lessons are free of charge. We expect students to arrive on time with their practice gear, book and a positive attitude! We encourage students to attend as many lessons as possible and commit themselves to regular practice. All new students are welcome to attend parades and competitions as spectators and
at an appropriate time will be invited to participate.

We love to see interested individuals join us during our Tuesday evening practices.
